Career Counseling & Coaching

Some people use these terms interchangeably, but there are subtle differences. Career Counseling is best when you are really unsure about what you want, and need to gain clarity about career direction.  Career Coaching is best when you know what you want, have a goal, but need help and support to reach it.

Career Counseling

We can start at the beginning with an assessment process to discover where you are, who you are, and your personal strengths, talents, values and accomplishments. Assessment instruments may include the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Career Vectors System, Elevations, Holland's Self-Directed Search, Campbell Skills and Interests Inventory, DISC, as well as a variety of exploratory exercises and activities that help you tap into and uncover your gifts.

We'll work together to:

  • Identify the skills and interests that inspire and motivate you, and see how your values, personality preferences, and style suggest certain career paths or successful working environments.
  • Make clear, focused, meaningful, long and short-term decisions and plans.
  • Develop an effective job search strategy and marketing campaign, and draw up realistic plans that will get you where you want to go.
  • Repackage and reposition your experience and expertise, according to the targets you determine are right for your next move.
  • Prepare you with an attention-getting resume, effective networking skills, and powerful interviewing techniques to make things happen!

We'll honor your past... to create your future... the way you'd like it to be.

“Linsey Levine and I met at a time when I was at a career crossroads, trying to decide between working for the money or working from the heart. Our conversations were very helpful. Linsey recognized quickly who I was. She recognized my talents and also who I was inauthentically trying to be. Her insights were invaluable. Only days after our meeting I was once again on track, pursuing my passion and desire to counsel and assist others. I found my niche in the working world through school counseling and my OD company as well. I am sincerely grateful.”
- Charles K., Ph.D

“Linsey helped me discover where my true talent lies. No longer focused on going after the job with the most important title, I now focus my energies on working in roles where I can do what I do best. In a way, by helping realize what I'm not good at, Linsey helped me discover a clearer path to success”
- Marianne F.

“Thank you for guiding me during this very difficult period in my life. Making a career move at age 55, with a mortgage and 3 kids to support has not been easy. Before I met you, I was unable to deal with the realities of what I had to do. Your help in making a careful evaluation of who I am and pursuing employment in a field appropriate to my needs has been invaluable. You are a good listener, and I especially appreciate your patience and persistence in making my resume come alive.”
- Roger S.
